About

Hi! I’m Jessica.

I am a Creative Media specialist with expertises in digital marketing, content creation, copywriting, and web/graphic design. I am passionate about all things creative: writing, design, marketing, and working tirelessly to execute the vision that will get any job done. I love to work with companies and people that share my passion and value for challenging, out-of-the-box projects.

I’ve had internships in digital marketing, social media, and design. Sometimes I worry I have my fingers in too many pots, but that’s okay!

Influences and inspiration

As a kid, I always looked up to storytellers. People who could weave tapestries of wonder, fear, and awe with just the right arrangement of words on a page. I carried that admiration with me into my academic career as an English major, where I sought to tell stories of my own and of others, and hopefully inspire the same strength of feeling through my writing. I want to be part of projects that evoke strong emotional responses in people, regardless of who they are.

Because of my background in writing, I bring a unique perspective to my marketing and design. When starting new projects, my first thought concerns my audience. I believe that making a connection with the audience through genuine curiousity and empathy is the first step to a successful project. Because of my years of experience with digital marketing, storytelling, leading social media campaigns, and developing research projects of my own, I know what ideas are going to tell the most impactful story.

Behind the Curtain

Outside of my daily academic and work life, I am passioinate about storytelling and protecting spaces and opportunities for diverse stories. As the Editor in Chief of the University of Georgia’s Undergraduate English Association’s blog, I encourage students to submit their own work about storytelling, and to highlight creative opportunities for students at the university.

When I’m not working or writing, I love exploring new wonders and writing about them. If I’m not looking for my next adventure, I can be found reading R. F. Kuang’s new book or watching Gossip Girl with my roommate.
